A.T. – News and Announcements

PARENTS, COACHES, STUDENT-ATHLETES:

We would like to start off this message by saying THANK YOU to everyone for an incredible 2019-2020 athletic season. It was our pleasure assisting your athletes through all of their aches and pains and watching your athletes return to the sports they love. The support from our admin, coaches, and ACP families helps us provide the best care possible to our Knights.

In regards to current world events, we hope that you and your loved ones are safe and healthy. Allow us to be among the many to encourage you to practice social distancing and adhere to all CDC health and safety guidelines. While it is tempting to get together
with teammates or friends while schools are closed, remember that the health of yourself and your families are far more important during this time of crisis. All of us are counting on each other to do our part in defeating our newest opponent, COVID-19.

Dignity Health has a page that is updated frequently with information regarding COVID-19 that you may find by clicking here.

We would also like to extend our support to all of the spring student-athletes facing immeasurable disappointment and devastation at this time of uncertainty. We understand the heartache you may be feeling amid spring sport suspensions. Please know that we are still here and available to you. While we may not be able to meet in the athletic training room, we are working hard to create access to at-home
rehabilitative care and other activity plans so that you may return to campus next season at the top of your game. Additionally, maybe you need someone to talk to about what’s going on; you’re still struggling with sport-related injuries or illness from earlier this season; or you want to get a head-start on injury prevention. Whatever you may need, please email Amy or Sara with your questions or concerns or just to say hi—we miss you all so much!

As we receive information from school and hospital officials, we will continue to update our information for you regarding our spring/summer pre-participation physical examinations, Athletic Training Room clinic hours, and OSPI clinic hours.

Please remember to take a few minutes to complete the following survey and let us know how our athletic trainers and team physician groups are doing as your feedback about our program is important to us!

Stay home and take care!
